SGS Honours Deserving Staff

The School of Graduate Studies, University of Port Harcourt presented awards to some of its deserving staff. The Dean Prof. (Mrs.) Bene-Willie Abbey, on behalf of the Board, Staff and Management of the Graduate School, Uniport  presented the awards to the awardees on the 28th of November 2008.

The awards were given to the staff in recognition of their selfless/committed service to the Graduate School.

During the presentation of the awards, the Dean commended the awardees for their contributions in terms of their services towards the overall development of the school. She also used the medium to appeal to other staff of the school to be committed to their work.

Mr. Emenike Benjamine F.Mr. Emenike Benjamine F.
Computer Operator

Mr. Emenike Benjamine F. joined the services of the University on the 15th of  July, 2006 as a Computer Operator. He was honoured for his commitment and loyalty to his duties. He deserves this recognition by virtue of his hard work and dedication to his job. His hard work had pays him this recognition/award.

 


Mr. Amadi D. C.Mr. Amadi D. C.
Graduate Studies Officer (RTD)

Mr. Amadi D. C. is well known for his simplicity and pro-active in response to official duties. He was a seasoned administrator, with track records of successful administration and management. He was honoured for meritorious service in the Graduate School. He has successfully retired from active service yet his indelible mark of success is still felt in the Graduate School. Until his retirement, he was the Graduate Studies Officer.

Chief Clerical Officer                                                                

Mrs. Beauty Okogba is Chief Clerical Officer attached to the Dean’s Office, Graduate School. She is well known for her punctuality and timeliness to work. A family woman, combining both domestic/matrimonial duties and office engagements without having a disadvantage on either of them is worthy of commendation. She was honoured for her selfless/committed services.

 


Mr. Nelson Eze Enekwe
Caretaker (RTD)

Until his retirement, Mr. Nelson Eze was the Graduate School house caretaker. He was not known in any way for laxity in the course of discharge of his duties. He was very articulate and sees his job as a prerequisite factor in his endeavours. His retirement has created a vacuum in the Graduate School. He was honoured for diligence and excellent service delivery.
